WASHINGTON, March 31, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- NASA has assigned astronaut Shannon Walker to the first operational crewed flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft on a mission to the International Space Station.

The mission will launch in mid-September 2020, pending the outcome of the SpaceX Demo-2 mission, and will transport four members of the Expedition 64 crew to the International Space Station.

She launched on her first mission into space on 25 June 2010 onboard Soyuz TMA-19 and has currently logged 163 days in space over one long-duration mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
